This FAQ answers the questions we receive most often about Uplyft loans of $500 to $5,000, grouped into four stages: understanding the service, applying, personal loan terms and costs, and what happens after you apply.
Uplyft Capital is a lender-connection service, not a lender, and many questions come from that distinction: who decides, who sets the rate, who to call. Others come from the mechanics of Uplyft loans themselves: credit checks, funding times, fees, and repayment. Each answer below is written to stand on its own. If you do not find your question, the contact page lists a phone number and email that reach a person, and our glossary defines every term used here.
About Uplyft Capital
Is Uplyft Capital a lender?
No. Uplyft Capital is a lender-connection service. We collect one request and share it with participating personal loan lenders, who make the credit decision, set the APR and fees, and fund the personal loan. Our Advertiser & Lending Disclosure explains how we are compensated.
How does Uplyft Capital make money?
Participating lenders pay Uplyft Capital a referral fee when a request results in a funded personal loan or, with some partners, when a request is delivered. You never pay us anything, and the fee does not change the terms the lender offers you.
Is Uplyft Capital available in every state?
The request form is available nationwide, but lender participation and loan terms vary by state. In a few states the maximum amount is below $5,000 or certain products are not offered. The lender will show you what is available where you live.
How do I contact us?
Call (888) 510-5986, email [email protected], or write to 7818 Willow Bend Rd, Suite 204, Chattanooga, TN 37402. For questions about an existing loan, contact your lender directly using the details in your agreement.
Applying
How fast can I get funded?
Lender decisions usually arrive within minutes of submitting the form. After you accept a personal loan offer, most lenders deposit funds by the next business day, and some fund the same day if you accept before their cutoff. Weekends and holidays add a day or two.
Can I apply with bad credit?
Yes. The Uplyft Capital network includes lenders that underwrite primarily on income and banking history and accept credit scores in the 500s and low 600s. Expect a higher APR and possibly a smaller maximum amount than a borrower with strong credit.
Does checking my rate hurt my credit?
With most partner lenders, the initial match uses a soft inquiry, which does not affect your score. A hard inquiry, which can lower your score by a few points temporarily, typically occurs only after you accept an offer and the lender finalizes the personal loan.
What information do I need to apply?
Your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, email and phone, income source and monthly amount, employer or benefit details, and your checking account and routing numbers. Having a recent pay stub and bank statement nearby speeds verification.
How much can I request?
From $500 to $5,000. Request the amount you actually need; you can accept less than a lender offers but not more.
Can I apply if I am self-employed?
Yes. Lenders generally accept bank statements showing regular business deposits, tax returns, or 1099 forms in place of pay stubs. Consistency of income over the last three to six months matters more than the form it takes.
Do I need a bank account?
Yes. Lenders deposit funds into and collect payments from an active checking account. A prepaid card or savings-only account is usually not sufficient.
Can I apply more than once?
You can submit a new request if your circumstances change, but repeated requests within a short period do not improve your odds and may be declined by lenders as duplicates. Wait at least 30 days, or contact us if you have a question about a prior request.
Loan terms and costs
What APR should I expect?
APRs vary by lender, state, and your credit profile. Borrowers with strong credit may see rates under 15%; fair-credit borrowers commonly see 18% to 36%; higher-risk profiles may see rates above 36% from certain state-licensed lenders. Every offer discloses its APR before you sign. See our rates guide.
Are there fees to use Uplyft Capital?
No. Submitting a request is free. Lenders may charge an origination fee, deducted from the proceeds or added to the balance, and late fees if you miss a payment. All fees appear in the personal loan agreement.
What repayment terms are available?
Typically 3 to 36 months, set by the lender and chosen by you from the options offered. Shorter terms cost less in total interest; longer terms lower the monthly payment.
Can I pay off a loan early?
Most lenders in the network allow early payoff with no prepayment penalty. Confirm in your agreement. Paying early reduces total interest because interest accrues on the remaining balance.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Expect a late fee after any grace period, and if the personal loan payment is 30 or more days late the lender may report it to the credit bureaus. Contact the lender before the due date if you know you will be short; many offer a one-time deferral.
Is a personal loan through our network secured or unsecured?
Unsecured. You do not pledge a vehicle, home, or savings account. Approval depends on your income, existing debt, credit history, and state rules.
Will my loan be reported to the credit bureaus?
Many partner lenders report to one or more bureaus, which means on-time payments can build your credit. Not every lender reports; ask before accepting if this matters to you.
After you apply
How will I know if a lender made an offer?
You are redirected to the lender's website immediately after matching, and the lender also emails you. Check your spam folder if you do not see the email within a few minutes.
Do I have to accept the offer?
No. You may decline for any reason with no fee and, with most partners, no hard inquiry. The request expires if you do nothing.
How do I make payments?
Through the lender, usually by automatic withdrawal from your checking account on the scheduled dates. Most personal loan lenders also accept manual payments online or by phone.
Can I change my payment date?
Most lenders will move the due date once, typically to align with your pay date, if you ask before the first payment is scheduled.
Who do I contact about my loan?
Your lender. we do not service personal loans, collect payments, or have access to your account after funding. The lender's contact details are on your agreement.
How do I request removal of my information?
Email [email protected] with the subject line Delete My Information. We will confirm your identity and process the request as described in our Privacy Policy.
Still have a question?
If your question is about the request process or this website, contact us at (888) 510-5986 or personal [email protected]; if it is about a personal loan you have already accepted, contact your lender using the details on your agreement.
Two other pages answer related questions in depth. The how it works page describes each screen of the request and what to have ready. The Uplyft Capital requirements page lists every document and income type personal loan lenders accept, along with state notes. And if you are ready, the request form takes a few minutes, costs nothing, and does not obligate you to accept anything.

Questions about this website
Are the figures on this site real offers?
No. Every APR, payment, and cost figure on the site, including the calculator, tables, and articles, is an estimate for illustration. Real offers come only from a lender after it Uplyft Capital reviews your request, and they appear on the lender's website with a full disclosure.
Does Uplyft Capital recommend specific lenders?
No. The comparison page profiles ten lenders for reference and does not link to or endorse any of them. Requests are matched to participating personal loan lenders by criteria, and the offer you see identifies the lender making it.
Why do you publish negative Uplyft Capital reviews?
Because a review page that shows only praise tells a prospective customer nothing. Ratings of two and three stars appear alongside five-star comments, and we use the criticism to improve the pages people read before applying.
Can I use the calculator without applying?
Yes. The calculator runs entirely in your browser, sends nothing to us, and works for any fixed-rate loan from any lender.
How do I report a problem with a lender?
Email [email protected] with the subject line Lender Complaint, the lender's name, and the date of your request. We forward complaints to the lender and track patterns; lenders with repeated complaints are removed from the network.
Is the request form secure?
The form is served over an encrypted connection by our secure form provider. we do not store Social Security or bank account numbers on this website's servers. Our Privacy Policy describes the full data flow.
What should I do if I received a suspicious call claiming to be Uplyft Capital?
Hang up and call us at (888) 510-5986. We never call to request a fee, a gift card, or your online banking password. Our guide to spotting personal loan scams lists the warning signs.
Questions about repayment and hardship
What if I lose my job during the loan?
Contact the lender immediately. Many offer a short deferral or a modified payment plan for documented hardship. Continuing to communicate prevents the account from moving to collections while you sort out income.
Can I make extra payments?
Almost always. Confirm that extra amounts are applied to principal rather than held as a prepayment of the next installment; the lender's payment portal usually offers the choice.
Can I refinance a loan I got through our network?
Yes, either with the same lender or through a new request if your credit has improved. Refinancing saves the most early in the term; late in the term, most interest has already been paid.
What happens at the end of the personal loan?
The final payment clears the balance, the lender closes the account and reports it as paid, and you receive a confirmation. Keep the confirmation with your records and check that your credit report shows the account as paid in full.
Will I be offered another loan afterward?
Some lenders invite repeat borrowers with improved terms. There is no obligation to accept, and we would encourage you to borrow again only for a specific need, not because a personal loan offer arrived.
Does Uplyft Capital charge for anything, ever?
No. Not for the request, not for an offer, not for declining, and not for information on this site. Our compensation comes from lenders, as the Advertiser & Lending Disclosure explains.
Questions about the personal loan categories
Do different loan types have different terms?
No. Personal, debt consolidation, emergency, holiday, installment, and moving loans through our network are all the same unsecured personal loan product; the category describes the purpose and the guidance on each page, not a separate set of terms. Lenders price every request on the same factors.
Which loan type should I choose on the form?
Choose the purpose that best describes your need. It helps the lender's records and does not change Uplyft Capital requirements or pricing. If your need spans two categories, pick the larger one.
Can I use a personal loan for a business expense?
Most personal loan lenders in the network exclude business use, along with tuition and gambling. Personal loans are for personal, family, and household expenses.
Can I get a loan through our network with no credit history?
Possibly. Several lenders in the network underwrite thin or empty files on income and bank history. Expect a smaller amount and a higher rate on a first loan; a reported loan repaid on time is one of the fastest ways to establish a file.
What is the difference between Uplyft Capital and a bank?
A bank lends its own money and decides on its own criteria. Uplyft Capital forwards one request to many lenders with different criteria, which is faster and reaches more credit profiles, especially for amounts under the minimums most banks set.
